Ramoino
We have been transforming the grapes of our D.O.C. vineyards in Western Liguria into emotions for three generations: Rossese di Dolceacqua, Ormeasco di Pornassio, Pigato and Vermentino from the Riviera Ligure di Ponente.
It all began in the 1950s when Giuseppe Ramoino discovered, and fell in love with, the Pigato and build a completely new underground cellar in Sarola, behind Imperia, dedicated to the production of Pigato and Vermentino, turning their grapes and those supplied by the various winemakers from the valley into wines.
His children Domenico decide, we are in the 80s now, to continue in the management and expansion of the Azienda Agricola Ramoino with his eclectic wife Elvira.
.
In 2006 the third generation comes into play, the children Fabrizio and Fabiana with her husband Danilo, who implements the production of their own grapes, with the acquisition of new vineyards of Pigato, Vermentino and Rossese as well as a winery in Dolceacqua, an area suitable for the production of Rossese.
Meanwhile, the fourth generation plays in the vineyards, experiencing the passion and emotions that have always animated us.
The love for the vineyard, the geological constitution of the land, the exposure to the sun, the steeply sloping hill to avoid water stagnation and, therefore, avoid the risks that too much humidity can give to grapes, are fundamental to obtain high quality grapes that give life to unique and inimitable wines excited by the Rossese wine, expanded production by acquiring new vineyards and a cellar in Dolceacqua.
