"We cultivate our vines with love in synergy with nature"

We are Morasinsi, young winegrowers in love with nature and viticulture, with a long family agricultural tradition. We make wine from our estate grown grapes with a commitment to traditional techniques whilst focusing on innovative practices througout the vineyard and the winery.

The entire wine production is based on the use of our own grapes. We cultivate in a sustainable way to ensure that the grapevine, beneficials and spontaneous plants live in synergy to create a balanced ecosystem. Understanding the richness of the biodiversity is fundamental for us to produce high quality grapes. When Nature is supported and respected, it then gives you wonderful gifts.

Thanks to wild flora and fauna, the soil is rich in humus, the natural nourishment of plants. The soil varies throughout the vineyard with a balanced combination
of clay and limestone. The variety of soil profile in the vineyard allows us to produce wines with unique characteristics and personality.

The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small boxes after a careful selection in the vineyard. They arrive immediately in the winery, which is situated at the center of the vineyard, and are freshly crushed as soon as they are picked.
For the winemaking process we use concrete tanks an at the end of fermentation the wines continue to age in either concrete, barriques and amphorae.
We leave our wines to mature on the fine lees for several months, bringing uniqueness, structure and complexity to the wines.
In the vineyard, we work with passion to ensure that our values of quality are never undermined whilst always respecting the unique and beautiful land of Puglia.

Our property is situated between two landscapes: the Alta Murgia and the Valle dell’Ofanto. The Murgia is a rural environment characterized by rolling hills, rocky ridges and arboreal and herbaceous vegetation: the wild pear (perastro), almond, ferula, asparagine, asphodel. The Ofanto Valley, on the other hand, is an anthropized agricultural environment characterized by vineyards and olive groves that extends towards the coast as far as the eye can see. The architecture of our property recalls both the mentioned landscapes: the local stone recalls Nature and the Earth, while the cor-ten coating refers to the hand of man. The property is perfectly integrated in the surrounding landscape due to its lines, materials and natural colours. All around, there is a rich Mediterranean garden and our vineyard.

Morasinsi is the fantasy composition of our history. “M” is the “Murgia”, the great mother that acts as a terroir, which welcomes our vineyards and raises them with its unique soil and its warm and dry climate. “Insi” means “insieme” (= together), recalling the ensemble of the various inhabitants of the vineyard ecosystem: the vine that produces
our grapes, the beneficials (bees, bumblebees and ladybugs) thanks to which we defend our plants in a natural way, the spontaneous plants that enrich the soil with natural fertility and give us many ingredients for our traditional dishes, and finally the man who respectfully works within nature.
