Masseria Sanpolo
From the union of Bruno and Agnese in 1969 was born a familiar and business party that occupied them, with passion and achievement, during the ages ’70 and ’80 in the food retail sector.
In 1983 the family Andreetta started working, with a lot of attention and passion, in agriculture, dedicating and investing in the production of organic cereal, a sector completely innovative for that period.
Comforted by the results achieved in agriculture, in 2002 they decided to work in viticulture too, sector that characterizes the economy and history of Veneto.
Next to more traditional vineyards like pinot, merlot and chardonnay their passion has been attracted also by the more classic of the venetian vineyards: glera, the grapes of PROSECCO.
After a decade characterized by research and experimentation, always accompanied by steady comparison with wine school and comforted by the oenologist’s opinions, the company Agricola Porto start producing and commercialize PROSECCO.
PROSECCO UNO DOC TREVISO was born in 2014, in its brut version.
The custom rewarded Prosecco UNO beyond all expectation, so Agricola Porto wanted to produce an higher quality of Prosecco using only grapes Glera doc.
In 2018 was presented to the wordwilde market Prosecco UNO+ doc Treviso, in extra dry and brut versions, produced, of course, in the limited authorized zone of Prosecco.
The company agricola Porto as always paid attention to the eco-friendly productions, and now has planned investments also in resistant clones, and with the 2018’s harvest has started studying and experimentation with wine making of ‘tocai resistant’ planted in 2017. A decision that is revealing extremely interesting that the company has chosen other resistant clones for the new installation of 2019. The first bottling will star with the harvest of 2020.
Agricola Porto is dedicating its self in the crops like ginger and saffron, recording a lot of interest for this last productions.
In 2003 the Andreetta family started the cultivation of vineyards in south of Italy, in Puglia, producing in Salento great grapes of Negro Amaro, Black Malvasia, Chardonnay and Susumaniello.
In Salento the company produces also oil.
Wines and oil are marketed with under brand ‘Masseria SanPolo’.
Surrounded by ancient olive trees and magnificent vineyards of Agricola Porto is located Masseria SanPolo, became form 2015, after been completely renovated, a purview holiday hotel for costumer from Europe and beyond.
Agnese and her daughter Annalisa are very proud of the first 50 years of Agricola Porto. Its activities collects constantly appreciations and awards for the quality of products, the professionalism in the culture and applications of eco-friendly working methods.
