Colli Berici DOC Spumante Extra Dry Rosé "Rosa dei Berici" - Le Pignole

A rosé sparkling wine born in a special place: Brendola, the gateway to the Berici Hills, where calcareous soils rich in marine sediments mix with volcanic and basaltic outcrops, creating a unique terroir throughout Veneto. The main grape variety is Tai Rosso — the indigenous grape, symbol of the Berici Hills, a relative of French Grenache — cultivated in these hills for centuries, capable of adapting to the microclimate and territory like no other.

Manual harvesting in crates in the third week of September on calcareous clay soil with volcanic and basaltic outcrops, east-west exposure, double-arched cane training. In the cellar, destemming with 60% crushing of the grapes, followed by cold maceration (5-6°C) for 15 hours and fermentation for 10 days at a controlled temperature of 13-14°C. Aging in stainless steel tanks for at least 4 months, then secondary fermentation in an autoclave for 55 days — just the right time to build fine, persistent, and elegant bubbles.

In the glass, it presents a refined antique pink color, bright and inviting. On the nose, a fresh and fragrant bouquet: cherry, wild berries, and a delicate floral note that opens the sip with lightness. In the mouth, it is harmonious, fresh, and fruity, with a smooth drinkability and a fine perlage that accompanies it to a clean and pleasantly savory finish. The character of Tai Rosso is recognizable: it is not an anonymous sparkling wine; it is a sparkling wine of territory and personality.
