Erik Banti

Erik Banti began his winemaking career in 1981 in Montemerano, in a small winery within the walls of the medieval village, and is widely considered the Pioneer of Morellino di Scansano. With passion, enthusiasm, and dedication, he significantly contributed to raising the profile and appreciation of this DOC, then known only in his own region, in Italy and then worldwide. From the very beginning, he earned significant recognition from guides, specialized and non-specialized magazines, and national newspapers, beginning with the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri award.

In 1994 the winery was moved to Scansano where, in 2004, major renovations and expansions were carried out to improve production, the wine store, and the reception area.

The company's focus has always been on producing quality wines that maintain the typicality of the Maremma region, which is distinct from other production areas in Tuscany due to its location.
