Molinetto

Diego Carrea's Molinetto estate, with 7 hectares of vineyards planted to Cortese, is an oenological gem of the Gavi area.

Located between Francavilla Bisio and Tassarolo, where the Piedmont hills already carry a breath of sea air, it builds its production on the prized Gavi DOCG: a fragrant, fruity, soft and elegant white made from 100% Cortese.

Today the estate is run by Diego: a degree in electronic engineering and an Executive MBA, first an IT specialist in Genoa, then in Milan.

Until October 2008, when Diego chose "the road less travelled" and followed his "deep roots": he came home to carry on the family wine business founded in 1990 by his father Matteo and his uncle Domenico.
