LA.MAR

LA.MAR is a family winery in Carosino, in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria DOC, where winegrowing has been handed down for four generations. The name LA.MAR captures the identity of the Laneve family and the three siblings who run the estate today, following the teachings of Mario, their father and mentor in the vineyard.

Production is artisanal and limited, around 4,500 bottles a year, to ensure the utmost care at every stage from vineyard to bottle. The vineyards lie in Misicuri, the ancient Mesochorum, along the historic Via Appia between the Ionian and Adriatic seas: a unique terroir that encourages the grapes to dry naturally on the vine, giving the wines deep colour, great aromatic richness and a strong sense of place.
