A single-varietal Ribolla Gialla: the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2023 from Ronco dei Pini comes from three different vessels — amphora, tonneau and steel — brought together only at the end.

100% Ribolla Gialla, trained to single Guyot. The grapes are hand-picked at different levels of ripeness; after gentle pressing the must is vinified partly in amphora, partly in second-use tonneau and partly in steel. Blending comes at the end of ageing. 13% vol.

In the glass, straw yellow. On the nose, chinotto, lime blossom, lemongrass and yellow flowers. In the mouth it is saline, with a citrus return and floral echoes.

The native white of the Colli Orientali, in a version that simplifies nothing.

Recommended pairings: all fish dishes, especially pasta with fish sauces and grilled fish. Serve at 12-14 °C.

The Novello family hand-harvests the 11 hectares of cappuccina vineyards to ensure the best possible selection of grapes from which high-quality wines are produced: from the oldest vineyards come the grapes destined for the brand “Ronco dei Pini”.

Majestic red wines that enjoy being matured in French oak barriques to accompany every special occasion, elegant white wines with enveloping aromas to enhance light dishes and tantalizing appetizers, and finally lively bubbles to brighten evenings with friends. A journey through the typical flavors of Friuli through native and classic wines.

The winery is located in northeastern Friuli, specifically in the municipality of Prepotto in the Judrio Valley, where vineyard cultivation is influenced by the cool, breezy microclimate with significant temperature variations that occur especially in the summer season around harvest time.

The proximity of the mountains to the north and the sea to the south allows for constant ventilation. The temperature variations enrich the aromatic profile of the grapes, giving them the unmistakable characteristics of the area that produces Friuli Colli Orientali DOC wines.
