Menicucci

The history of Menicucci wines has been shaped by the tradition of an Italian family and seasoned with passion. It all began in 1970 when Antonio Menicucci planted his first vines in Ortona, Italy. Three generations later, the Menicuccis continue the family tradition.

The Menicucci vineyards extend over 20 hectares of land and are located in the municipalities of Canosa Sannita and Ortona. The soils are fine-grained, with a generally calcareous substratum and sparse rocky outcrops. Temperatures are characteristic of a rather warm environment, with low annual rainfall and significant temperature ranges, a condition that has a beneficial influence on the quality of the grapes.

The Menicucci family produces 100% certified organic wines, made from native Abruzzo grapes: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Pecorino Terre di Chieti, and Passerina Terre di Chieti. All wines are certified organic by CCPB Srl.
