A surprising red: 50% Canaiolo and 50% Ciliegiolo, two often-forgotten native Tuscan grape varieties, are the absolute protagonists here. Vineyards at 250 meters on calcareous marl mixed with clay, Guyot trained, harvest strictly by hand with whole berries — zero crushing. In concrete tanks, a 4-day cold pre-fermentative maceration precedes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a 6-10 day maceration on the skins. Aging in concrete lasts 5-6 months: a wine designed to express the fruit in its purest and most immediate form.
In the glass, it presents with a vibrant, luminous ruby red color. The nose is fragrant and inviting: fresh cherry, red flowers, small wild berries, and a pleasant herbaceous note. On the palate, it is smooth, fresh, and highly drinkable, with soft tannins and a drinkability that never tires. The finish is fruity and clean — the kind of wine that disappears before you know it.
Only 1,300 bottles produced — a small organic rarity to discover.
