the producer

Cascina Giambolino

Cascina Giambolino maintains and preserves, with ever-renewing passion, a family farming tradition in southeastern Piedmont, in the Tortonesi Hills, also known as the Terre Derthona, in Carbonara Scrivia, in the province of Alessandria. The cultivated land extends over approximately fifty hectares, of which 10 hectares are planted with vineyards and 40 hectares with fodder and cereals. The grapes, obtained through expert vineyard work, are carefully vinified, resulting in numerous labels, including the region's iconic wines, Derthona Timorasso and Monleale Barbera. The fodder and cereals are used to feed the farm's animals: purebred Piedmontese cattle.

The wines produced are a selection of Colli Tortonesi DOC: Derthona Colli Tortonesi DOC Timorasso, Maior Colli Tortonesi DOC Monleale, Carlè Colli Tortonesi DOC and Dongion Vino Frizzante Bianco, based on Cortese and Favorita.
