La Carreccia

La Carreccia farmhouse was founded in 2013 with the wonderful renovation of an old farmhouse immersed in the greenery of the Colli di Luni.

Overseeing the project are Lorenzo Lavezzari, owner of the company, and Alan Sanarica, his right-hand man at both La Carreccia and “Otto Bottega e Cucina,” an innovative Milanese boutique restaurant born from the Chef's passion; and Enzo Pucciarelli, a longtime family employee who oversees everything completely independently, from the vineyard to the cellar to welcoming guests.

Here at La Carreccia, in addition to producing wine and oil, you can also enjoy the wonderful agritourism experience by staying in one of the three sea-view apartments available to guests, in a finely furnished setting completely surrounded by nature.

The vineyards are located around the property in La Carreccia, from which the agriturismo takes its name. In this area, historically dedicated to growing grapes, the soils are quite deep and characterized by a strong clay content, making them particularly difficult to work. They are very hard in dry periods and muddy and slippery during rainy periods, making them difficult to work.

On the other hand, the microclimate and exposure are wonderful and play a fundamental role in the quality of the grapes which, protected to the northeast by the ridge of the hill, face southwest enjoying the sun until the last ray and a light sea breeze constantly present.

The most widely grown grape is clearly Vermentino, along with some Albarola and aromatic Malvasia; among the red grapes, Sangiovese, Syrah, and Merlot are cultivated.
