Ramoino

For three generations, we have been transforming the grapes from our DOC vineyards in Western Liguria into emotions: Rossese di Dolceacqua, Ormeasco di Pornassio, Pigato and Vermentino della Riviera Ligure di Ponente.

It all began in the 1950s when Giuseppe Ramoino discovered and fell in love with Pigato and built a new, completely underground cellar in Sarola, behind Imperia, dedicated to the production of Pigato and Vermentino, vinifying his own grapes and those delivered by winemakers in the valley.

Domenico Ramoino, who has been expanding the business since the 1980s with his wife Elvira, continues to lead the Ramoino company to excellent results and consistently positive reviews, continuing to serve the best restaurants in Liguria, especially, but also expanding beyond the region.

In 2006, the third generation entered the scene: children Fabrizio and Fabiana, along with her husband Danilo, who expanded the production of their own grapes with the acquisition of new Pigato, Vermentino, and Rossese vineyards, as well as a winery in Dolceacqua, an area well-suited to the production of Rossese.

Meanwhile, the fourth generation plays among the rows, experiencing the passion and emotions that have always driven us.

A love for the vineyard, the geological composition of the soil, the exposure to the sun, and the steep hillside that prevents waterlogging and the risks that excessive humidity can pose to the grapes are essential to obtaining high-quality grapes that give rise to unique and inimitable wines.
