Poggio Regini

Founded in 1969 by Rodolfo Rossi and Bruno Boccacci, the Poggio Regini estate lies among the hills of Chianti, in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti. It covers around 23 hectares, of which 11 were originally planted to vines and the rest to mixed arable crops. Over time the estate has made a name for itself both for its high-quality wines and for its proverbial picture-postcard scenery.

As country tradition would have it, with old ties constantly renewed as the work passes from father to son, in 1993 management passed to Manuele Rossi, Rodolfo's son. Passion and dedication to genuine products drove Poggio Regini's rapid growth: around two hectares of olive grove were planted in 1997, and seven more hectares of vineyard were added in 1998.

Finally, 2005 marked the first bottling, a fine success for the estate.

Always entirely family-run, the estate is managed today by Manuele, his son Maurizio and his wife Cinzia, with the precious help of founding father Rodolfo, who despite his aches and pains will not give up his passion for country life.
