the producer

Gianni Ramello

After studying theory at school and years spent learning the trade of a cellarman, in 2000 I finally managed to make my dream come true.

The new millennium saw me work in the vineyards that belonged first to my grandfather and then to my father and begin my career as a producer.

By combining tradition and technique, I strive to produce wines that reflect our Langhe region as closely as possible, with their intense aromas reminiscent of spring and their structure reminiscent of the toil of working in the vineyard.

Aware that in this work we must never take anything for granted, that even though we work the same way, every vineyard, every barrel, is different, the vintage then adds its own, transforming our work into a continuous challenge to produce wines that live up to our expectations every year.

My company is not large, just three hectares of vineyard, where I grow Dolcetto in the Pisote area, Nebbiolo for Barolo in the Rocchettevino area and Barbera in Monticello, on the sandy soil of the left Tanaro river.
