the producer

Carboni

The Carboni winery was founded in the 1990s as a result of the owner's passion, which gradually translated into expertise and experience and, finally, became a legacy for his young sons.

The winery's guiding philosophy is to combine the millennia-old tradition of winemaking and cultivation, inherited from previous generations, with ongoing research that seeks a balance between tradition and innovation to produce ever-better wines. This research focuses on market trends and the most modern winemaking techniques, while preserving the unique properties of the vines, soil, and microclimate—in short, the terroir—of the Mandrolisai hills.

The Carboni winery loves to maintain the idea that wine is a family product, born from a special connection to the land and its rhythms. Even today, the entire family carries out the necessary care to maintain a quality that is, above all, a gesture of love towards nature and those who respect and nurture it with the foresight of human labor.

This winery bears witness to the history of a small farming community, that of Ortuera, the product of many other stories that naturally intertwine. From these stories, however, emerge splendid native grape varieties deserving of even greater recognition and protection, worthy of being known for their quality, excellent production and variety, and of careful promotion and support policies from all institutions.

It tells the story of a family that, proudly and consciously observing the best of its millennial tradition, intends to confidently project it into the future of its children, to whom it entrusts the burden of transfusing ancient knowledge into an innovative winemaking project capable of deducing and synthesizing its most original potential.
