A dream that came true in 2016. Love for the land and for the vineyard, worked by hand on steep cliffs.
Our work in the vineyard
Due to the terrain's structure, all work in the fields is entirely manual. For us, the vineyard year begins in February with winter pruning and continues until the harvest, almost following a precise schedule and always learning something new.
The processes that follow winter pruning are varied, ranging from the arrangement of supports (wires and poles), to green pruning, to the arrangement of shoots, to the integrated pest management (IPM) protection of our plants from various possible plant diseases, to the control of grass growth under and between the rows, to defoliation, topping, destemming, and all the other small but significant attentions that, together with the seasonal weather conditions, give the grapes the characteristics of the vintage we will then find in our glass.
