VINEYARD : most of the grapes, composed of 95% Nebbiolo Chiavennasca and the remaining 5% Rossola, Pignola and Brugnola, come from the company vineyards located in the Sassella (municipalities of Castione Andevenno and Sondrio) and Valgella (municipality of Teglio) sub-zones of Valtellina Superiore.
VINIFICATION : The grapes were harvested in mid-October in crates of approximately 20 kg and immediately transported to the cellar for pressing, which involved removing the stems. Fermentation took place in a stainless steel tank, with the grapes remaining on the skins for 7 days, followed by racking and fermentation until the sugars were completely consumed.
During the tumultuous fermentation, three delestage operations were carried out to facilitate the extraction of color and aromatic components from the skins; these operations were also used to remove most of the grape seeds, thus avoiding an excessive release of tannins into the wine.
The refinement period was subsequently carried out with 12 months spent in stainless steel tanks, 12 months in large oak barrels and then bottled.
Le Strie is a small winemaking company that directly cultivates about one hectare of vineyard and produces a very limited number of bottles: currently around 9,500.
Our wines, all made from Nebbiolo grapes, are traditional products strongly linked to their territory of origin: Valtellina.
The company headquarters are in Teglio, F.ne S. Gervasio 13/A.
The cellar and the tasting and guest reception area are in Ponte V.na, Via S. Ignazio.
The vineyards are in Teglio (Valgella sub-zone) and in Sondrio (Sassella sub-zone).

- All products are carefully packaged and protected in specially certified cardboard containers. These packages are specifically designed to absorb shock and preserve the integrity of the bottles inside.
- All shipments can be tracked online via tracking number.
- If your package is broken or damaged, we recommend signing the "SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" form. This will allow you to check the contents and inform us of the condition of the goods. If your bottles are broken, please contact us immediately and we'll find the best solution together.
- The courier will NOT deliver wine or other alcoholic products to minors under 18 and may request identification to verify age.
- Delivery will take place on weekdays, during office hours. We recommend entering a delivery address where an adult capable of collecting the goods will always be present during these hours.
- We do not deliver to PO Boxes.

What if my wine tastes corked?
This doesn't usually happen, the percentage is very low, but if you happen to find that the wine you purchased tastes corked, just send us an email by clicking here and we'll take action immediately.
