Grancollina

Founded in 1890, GranCollina The passion and winemaking tradition of the Cotto family, now in its fifth generation, is passed from the vineyard to the bottle with fine DOCG and DOC wines.

The GranCollina winery seeks to combine the innovation of modern winemaking techniques with the winemaking tradition of the Cotto family.

GranCollina is located a few kilometers from the medieval town of San Damiano d'Asti, in the Terre Alfieri, a geographical area bordering Roero and Monferrato. The Terre Alfieri are particularly important due to their geographical location, with soils ideally suited to a variety of crops, particularly grapevines and hazelnuts. The hills on which the GranCollina vineyards are located enjoy excellent sun exposure, and thanks to the slopes and soil characteristics, they produce excellent, high-quality wines.

The winery boasts 18 hectares of vineyards and also raises around fifty Piedmontese Fassona cattle. An on-site butcher's shop has been open since 1997. In 2001, a passion for hospitality and the local area led to the creation of the GranCollina farmhouse, with rooms and apartments in the restored old farmhouse. In 2018, agrichef Milena opened the winery and restaurant in the farmhouse's original barn. Today, guests can enjoy wine tastings accompanied by the unique flavors of traditional Piedmontese country cuisine.
