Runch

A sip of Brianza. Cheers!
Runch is a small winery (a microwinery) set in Parco del Curone, at Montevecchia (Lecco).

A dream that came true in 2016. A love for the land and for the vines, worked by hand on steep slopes.

Work in the vineyard

Because of the lie of the land, all work in the vineyard is done entirely by hand. The vineyard year starts in February with winter pruning and runs through to harvest, following an almost fixed pattern while always learning something new.

Many tasks follow winter pruning: fixing the supports (wires and posts), green pruning, tying in the shoots, protecting the vines from possible diseases through integrated pest management, keeping the grass down under and between the rows, leaf removal, topping, thinning and all the other small but significant attentions that, together with the season's weather, give the grapes the character of the vintage that will later be found in the glass.
