Gianni Ramello

After the theory learned at school and years spent learning the cellarman's trade, in 2000 I finally made my dream come true.

The new millennium saw me working the vineyards that had belonged first to my grandfather and then to my father, and becoming a producer in my own right.

Combining tradition and technique, I try to make wines that reflect our Langhe land as faithfully as possible, with an intense bouquet that recalls spring and a structure that recalls the hard work in the vineyard.

I know that in this job nothing can ever be taken for granted: even working the same way, every vineyard and every barrel is different, and the vintage adds its own part, turning our work into a constant challenge to make wines that live up to our expectations every year.

My estate is small, just three hectares of vineyards: I grow Dolcetto in the Pisote, Nebbiolo for Barolo in Rocchettevino and Barbera in Monticello, on the sandy soils of the left bank of the Tanaro.
