Albarossa does not exist in nature: it is a crossing created in 1938 by Giovanni Dalmasso from Barbera and Chatus, and for decades it stayed a nursery curiosity. Very few grow it today.
100% Albarossa from San Damiano d'Asti. 14% vol.
Intense, dark purple red with light violet reflections. The nose is heady, ethereal and vinous, with grape and preserve. The palate is full-bodied, very rich yet elegant, velvety and without edges, with a light, well-integrated note of wood and a return of grape.
It has the structure of its Barbera parent and the colour of the other: rarely found in bottle.
Recommended pairings: roasts and braises, game, aged cheeses and any intensely flavoured, moderately spiced dish.

- Delivery takes place on working days, during office hours. We suggest giving a delivery address where an adult is always present at those times to receive the goods.
