Bucciarelli
The Bucciarelli family's Antico Podere Casanova is located in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti, not far from the natural border of the Pesa Valley, near the town of Greve in Chianti. A land of ancient Etruscan settlements, it is centrally located on two historic roads, beautifully exposed to the north toward Panzano and the Florentine territory. Ownership of these lands passed from the Florentine De Nobili family to Michelangelo Buonarroti in 1549 and remained in the hands of the legendary Maestro and his heirs until 1863, when it was converted into the ancient practice of sharecropping.
The property is now owned by the Bucciarelli family, where Riccardo and his son Mattia carry forward the principles of tradition, quality, and eco-sustainability that are intrinsic to the centuries-old history of the Chianti region.
