Molinetto

Diego Carrea's Molinetto estate, with its 7 hectares of Cortese vineyards, is an oenological jewel in the Gavi region.

Located between Francavilla Bisio and Tassarolo, in an area where the sea air can already be felt from the Piedmont hills, it bases its production on the prized Gavi DOCG: a fragrant, fruity, soft and elegant white made from 100% Cortese grapes.

The Molinetto Company is now run by Diego: a graduate in Electronic Engineering and an Executive MBA, he also worked as an IT expert, first in Genoa and then in Milan.

Until October 2008, when Diego decided to choose the "road less traveled", to follow his "deep roots": he returned home to continue the family winemaking business started in 1990 by his father Matteo and his uncle Domenico.
