A straightforward Dolcetto d'Alba: "Brich dij Luijs" 2023 from La Trava is the everyday red of Langhe tradition, with a spell in wood that rounds it out without covering it up.
100% Dolcetto, 6 months in used tonneaux. 14% vol.
In the glass, bright ruby red. On the nose the aroma is vinous and intense, with notes of sour cherry and forest fruit. In the mouth it is dry and well balanced, with pleasant tannin and a fruity, persistent flavour.
The table wine of the Langhe, the real one.
Recommended pairings: antipasti, salumi, simple pasta dishes, white meats and regional cooking.
