Val Testa

The Val Testa Agricultural Company was founded in 2013 by Alex, Nicholas, and Vito, brothers and their father, but has been handed down from their great-grandparents since the 1950s. It is located in Emilia Romagna, in the province of Ferrara, between the Mantle Valley and the Bando nature reserve, an area reclaimed from water in the 1940s and 1950s.

The area boasts a unique terroir, rich in minerals and a climate influenced by the nearby Adriatic Sea; factors that positively influence the grapes, giving the wines body, freshness, and flavor. The Guyot-trained vines produce grapes selected during rigorous hand-picking.

The company currently owns a vineyard spanning approximately one and a half hectares, which is known for producing Lambrusco Maestri, a unique and distinctive wine in the area, vinified as a single varietal; the rest of the production is made from white grapes.

The vineyard is managed organically, and since the 2022 vintage, Lambrusco bottles have obtained the resulting certification, which attests to their high quality and wholesomeness.

Constantly expanding, with the right mix of tradition and innovation, the company aims to increase its production and continually raise the quality bar.
